Sommelier Wine Awards 2019 Commended!
Gizella's Tokaji sweet Szamorodni in 2017 was built on the following grape varities: 45% Furmint, 45% Hárslevelű, 10% Muscat Lunel
The grapes came from the following crus: Bomboly, Medve, and Kastely and from the Grand Cru Barát, Deák, and Szil-völgy vineyards.
High diversity volcanic soil in each parcel, domination of rhyolite
and dacite with mostly clay or loess as top soil.
Gizella’s sweet Szamorodni is made with the selection of
Aged for 6 months in oak barrels.
Deep tropical notes with honey, apricot and botrytis.
Refreshing palate with great balance, structure and length. Laszlo, the winemaker prefers it when its young but this wine has a huge aging potential up to 15-20 years.
Total production is 3867 bottles.
Alc:11, 00 % by vol.; Tot. acidity: 7,8 g/L. Nat.sugar: 143,5 g/L
